Alette Preparation Guide

Surface and organize a clear picture of finances, parenting decisions, and documents.

A checklist of the financial, parenting, and personal records a divorce usually requires. You can start before you have decided anything or talked to a professional.

What you gather here carries into your Alette Case File.

Alette surfaces and organizes. Professionals advise and finalize.

Why this preparation matters

What you gather has a place in your Case File.

In Alette, financial documents attach to the record they support, such as a bank account or the house. Your parenting schedule lives on its own calendar, and anything you don’t know yet is marked Unknown on the record it belongs to.

You can see what exists, what is still open, and what to raise with a professional.

Your professionals start here

They start from your record.

A mediator, attorney, financial professional, or divorce coach can begin with an organized Case File instead of rebuilding the basics in a first meeting. More of the time you pay for goes to advice.

Create Your Preparation Folder

Everything you gather here carries into your Alette Case File, so your professional starts from an organized record instead of rebuilding the basics with you.

Open Questions

If you do not know, write it down and keep going.

Note each open question next to the record it belongs to, then move on. You don’t need an answer to keep gathering.

Property or debts not yet listed: note anything you believe may exist that isn’t recorded yet.

Future disagreements outside parenting: note any questions about how money or property disagreements would be handled after the divorce.

In Alette, your folder becomes a Case File you keep building. You choose what to share, and when.

Your guide is ready, and your place on the waitlist is held.

When your spot opens, the records in your folder become the start of your Case File.
